Overview

The Colorjive application allows painting digital images online. Using Colorjive web site you can paint your home and see how it will look like.
You don’t even have to pick up a brush. Paint virtually with Colorjive. The application has thousands of colors to choose from.

The Colorjive was developed for our Dutch client the Colorjinn company.

The technology is based on the idea that color involves three participants: light, surface and an observer. The quality of the light is mostly ignored and the observer isn’t even taken into consideration. Most color-matching software only takes the surface into account, using an RGB calculation. It ignores the quality of the light, and the way an observer perceives the color. The paint bucket was developed in cooperation with the University of Amsterdam. Some of the technology was originally designed to help robots recognize objects such as windows or walls.
