24 News Reader for mobile phones developed and launched

RomexSoft successfully developed the News Reader mobile phones client for 24 News TV Channel.

The main goal of the project was to spread broadcasting and advertisement area to mobile phones and collect statistic information about the audience.

The News Reader works on cell phones that support Java specification MIDP 2.0 / CLDC 1.1. Almost all middle and higher class mobile phones that are widely in use satisfy these criteria. The news is retrieved via Internet through HTTP protocol. To read news on your mobile phone you have to download the application from 24 News TV Channel web site. The program is automatically installed on a mobile phone and could be accessed through phone's menu.

You can download the latest news whenever your phone has active Internet connection. News retrieved during previous synchronization sessions could be reviewed without connecting to the Internet.

There are two modes in which news can be viewed:

• News grouped according to categories: General News, Economic, Sport, etc...
• Picture mode where each news is shown along with a photo and short description.
