Project description

Our client is a USA, Chicago based hardware and software development company. They need to build solid team of front-end and back-end developers for their projects. The first project is MVP of the Finance Game. Idea of the game is to allow users play in a competitive stock market trades inside a virtual market driven by real world’s stocks data and news. The front-end and back-end technologies selected for this project are a cutting edge technologies like next: AWS Serverless Services (Lambda, DynamoDB, DynamoDB Streams, AppSync, Cognito) and Flutter (iOS/Android, Stripe Payment Gateway, Apple Pay, Android Pay).

Required skills:

— At least 5+ years experience in Java;
— Experience with AWS Java SDK;
— Experience with AWS DynamoDB;
— Experience with AWS Lambda (Java);
— Experience with Docker containers;
— Experience with Maven;
— Strong knowledge of Design patterns architecture;
— Tech/Team lead experience (small agile teams);
— Hands-on experience with AWS;
— At least upper-intermediate level of English;

Responsibilities:

— Develop WIO cloud platform utilizing standard concepts, best practices and procedures of software development;
— Responsible for everyday development builds and production releases;
— Work closely with front-end, mobile developers and DevOps engineers to build complete solution;
— Participate in daily standups, story time, planning, retrospective, demos;
— Participate in meetings with customer and customer’s departments ;
— Mentor and support members of the WIO team to assist in completing tech tasks and meet project objectives and deadlines (done in conjunction with project managers);
— Monitor if team follows project SDLC process;
— Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments;

As a plus:

— Experience with Spring and Spring Boot;
— DevOps practices (CI/CD and IaC);
