AWS Infrastructure Monitoring Solution for SaaS

Our Customer

Healthcare Management SaaS

Pragma IT therapyBOSS is a one-of-a-kind SaaS solution for Home Health Agencies and Therapy Companies that covers a wide range of services (Early Intervention, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Skilled Nursing). It saves time, cuts costs and streamlines operations in total compliance for treating patients at home.

therapyBOSS is a comprehensive web and mobile SaaS platform for agencies and clinicians that enables users to manage all administrative and clinical aspects of home health therapy.

The Challenge

Performance Tracking

therapyBOSS’s main challenge was to ensure constant, independent and reliable monitoring of the public web applications and APIs to provide only the best user’s experience.

The Solution

Infrastructure Monitoring and Alerting System

With the help of AWS services Romexsoft enabled Pragma-IT to scale, grow and innovate. By utilizing Amazon Cloudwatch and AWS Lambda into the web-check solution offered by our development team, we ensured that the therapyBOSS app is secure, highly scalable, and resilient.

As a certified AWS consulting partner, Romexsoft did professional expertise of the client’s current environment and suggested using AWS facilities. Our team of dedicated developers used Lambda function written in Python to perform a check by calling a web resource by https, and CloudWatch to launch a scheduled web-check. Moreover, CloudWatch was used for alerting. When AWS Lambda detects a service outage, it generates an alert that is delivered by AWS SNS into the integrated PagerDuty service and our 24×7 support team starts the troubleshooting.

The Results

Cost-Efficient High-Availability Monitoring

Our DevOps team developed for Pragma-IT a solution that enabled them to get a highly available, independent and efficient web-check for their website.

The solution also leverages the cost saving AWS Free Tier which helps Pragma-IT to decrease their TCO.

AWS Infrastructure Monitoring FAQ

How does AWS monitoring improve patient care in healthcare SaaS platforms?

AWS monitoring enhances patient care in healthcare SaaS platforms by ensuring that apps stay dependable, quick, and always available. Performance problems are identified early and outages are immediately alerted by services like CloudWatch and Lambda, allowing support teams to fix them before patients or clinicians are impacted. This promotes adherence to healthcare regulations, reduces downtime during therapy sessions, and maintains real-time access to health records—all of which contribute to continuous, excellent patient care.

What measurable business results can be achieved with AWS-based infrastructure monitoring?

AWS infrastructure monitoring delivers measurable gains across reliability and cost efficiency. Independent research cited by AWS shows that organizations adopting AWS monitoring and automation practices have achieved up to a 39% faster mean time to recovery (MTTR), with some reporting a 58% reduction in recovery time. Uptime improves by enabling proactive detection and resolution of performance issues before they affect end users. On the cost side, AWS benchmarking and TCO studies highlight that optimizing monitoring and operations with AWS services can reduce infrastructure spend by up to 36%. Together, these improvements translate into higher service availability, faster incident response, and lower total cost of ownership.

Why is independent monitoring critical for compliance in healthcare applications?

In regulated environments, where audit trails, dependability, and incident detection must be documented, this separation is necessary to prove compliance with HIPAA and other standards. Organisations can demonstrate that patient data is secure, service delivery is reliable, and operational risks are kept to a minimum by using independent AWS monitoring, which offers an objective perspective of uptime, security events, and response times.

How does automated alerting with CloudWatch, Lambda, and SNS reduce downtime and operational risk?

Automated alerting with CloudWatch, Lambda, and SNS reduces downtime and operational risk by ensuring issues are detected and acted on immediately. While Lambda automates response actions like performing health checks, CloudWatch monitors metrics like error rates, latency, and CPU utilization. SNS alerts incident tools like PagerDuty when anomalies happen, allowing support teams to react in minutes as opposed to hours. This directly lowers the risk of extended outages and guarantees higher application uptime by lowering mean time to detection (MTTD) and mean time to resolution (MTTR), two crucial reliability metrics.
